Welded steel tubing and seamless steel tubing are both used for engine purposes. Engine tubing plays a crucial role in the normal operation of the engine. It ensures the smooth transmission of substances such as fuel, coolant, air, and exhaust gas between various engine components.
Welded steel tubing can be made in a variety of sizes and wall thicknesses to meet different engine design requirements. It is also relatively cost-effective compared to seamless steel tubing, as the manufacturing process is less complex.
Seamless steel tubing is commonly used in the engine's cooling system, where it needs to withstand high-pressure coolant circulation. It is also used in the engine's lubrication system to transport oil under pressure to various engine components safely and reliably.

| Cold drawn (+SR) | After the final cold forming process the tubes are stress relieve annealed for better stability. |
| GBK (+A) | After the final cold forming process the tubes are annealed in a controlled atmosphere. |
| NBK (+N) | After the final cold forming process the tubes are annealed above the upper transformation point in a controlled atmosphere. |
The round steel bar is used to produce seamless pipe. After heating the bar to a high temperature, a probe is put into the bar to produce a hole. The cylinder is then moved to rollers that shape it to the required diameter and wall thickness.
